TalePath Privacy Policy
TalePath is an AI character chat, quest, and creator app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how users can request deletion of their account and data.

Information We Collect
We collect information needed to provide accounts, chats, quests, creator tools, safety features, subscriptions, and ads.
- Account information, including email address, sign-in provider identifiers, user ID, display name, profile details, and account settings.
- User content, including messages, character profiles, personas, quests, drafts, public posts, creator profile details, uploaded images, generated images, reports, moderation information, and other content users create or submit.
- Usage and app activity, including chats, choices, likes, follows, bookmarks, hidden content, blocked creators, searches, safety settings, notification preferences, and feature usage.
- Purchases, including subscription status, product ID, purchase token, and entitlement information used to verify TalePath Plus.
- Device, diagnostics, and advertising information, including device identifiers, app instance IDs, push notification tokens, diagnostics, crash/performance information, advertising identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, and ad interaction data collected by service providers such as Firebase and Google Mobile Ads.
How We Use Information
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Provide AI chat, quests, character creation, profile, and community features.
- Save user preferences, safety settings, drafts, and content.
- Generate, store, and moderate characters, quests, images, and chat-related data.
- Verify subscriptions and provide paid features.
- Send push notifications if enabled.
- Detect abuse, enforce safety rules, review reports, and protect users.
- Improve reliability, performance, and product quality.
- Show and measure ads for users who are not on an ad-free plan.
Public Content
If a user publishes a character, quest, creator profile, or feed content, that content may be visible to other users. Users should not publish personal or sensitive information they do not want others to see.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers that help operate the app, including:
- Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database, storage, analytics, hosting, and backend functions.
- Google Sign-In for authentication.
- Google Play Billing for subscriptions and purchase verification.
- Google Mobile Ads for ad delivery, measurement, diagnostics, and fraud prevention.
- AI model providers used to generate chat, quest, moderation, or image responses.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or to enforce our terms and safety policies.
Data Retention
We keep account, content, purchase, moderation, and app activity data for as long as needed to provide TalePath, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain safety. Deleted account data is removed or anonymized where reasonably possible, except for data we must retain for legal, security, fraud prevention, payment, or moderation records.
Account And Data Deletion
Users can request deletion in the app:
Profile > Account actions > Delete account
Users can also request deletion without using the app at https://talepath.web.app/account-deletion/.
Account deletion removes or anonymizes the user's profile, chats, creations, drafts, preferences, safety settings, and account data where reasonably possible. Public content, reports, payment records, abuse-prevention records, backups, and logs may be retained if needed for legal, security, fraud prevention, moderation, or operational reasons.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children
TalePath is not intended for children. Users should meet the minimum age required by the app listing, local law, and the app's content rating.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
